DS is almost 100% potty trained! FINALLY!!! Only one accident in 5 days! I am so relieved. I completely gave up in despair about six weeks ago.
Then, a couple of weeks ago, DS moved classes in daycare--up to the "big kids'" wing. He was so proud--now he's a Big Boy, and can go to the Big Kids' Playground at school.
The night before he started in his new class, I told him, "The teachers in your new class expect you to be potty trained. No more baby stuff. If you can't be a big boy, you may not be able to stay in your big boy class." A total lie, but I told it to him gently. He looked very serious and responded, "Ok, I will potty train now."
And he did. The next day, the first day of his new class, his teachers asked me why he was in diapers--that he went to the potty all day long and stayed dry.
I was shocked. I thought they had confused me as the mom of someone else's kid. Nope, they meant me. They told me to start putting him in underwear.
It was just like the teachers had said it would be, all along: one day, he'd just decide to do it.
