To all of my friends that have had the joy of potty training a toddler...
So, DH picked up DS from daycare on Thursday (he is almost 21 months) and I was reading the little "report sheet" they send home (how long he napped, what he ate, diapers, etc.) and I noticed that under "toileting" it said "tried." Hmmm. I have never tried putting him on the potty/toilet before. Well, what the heck, I figured, if he's trying at daycare, might as well try at home. So, I put him on the toilet after his bath and....he peed! Woohoo! He's been going like a pro (pee, anyway) ever since. He hasn't pooped yet and he still goes in his diaper, but I think that we're off to a good start. The only thing is that he doesn't really talk yet, so we're going to have to figure out some means of communicating potty needs. Maybe I'll teach him to scratch at the bathroom door like my dog does...
Just had to share the good news! Who knew this would excite me so much! Boy, have things changed!
