Ugh. . . the joys of parenting.

Warning: On our flight moving from PA to OR we were in Chicago O'hare on a layover having dinner in one of the eating areas. Ds, who was only two months old, decided to have a major projectile spit-up (all over the table and floor) that he NEVER had until that point. If you have ever been in one of the eating areas at O'hare it is cram-packed with people eating. Ds, however, cleared the place out for us. :horror: I vowed to never fly again with kids too!

It's rarely FUN but it is doable. Sick kids however are a totally different dimension. Ick. Sending calming vibes for tummies and mommies.

UGH! You've brought back memories of the Charleston (I think) airport in 11/03. I'd worked hard to repress those.

Good luck. I'll look for you on the news.

Oh boy ---- I'm flying with all six kids this June from Massachusetts to Utah. I just don't think about it. I deal by being in denial.

              Re: I need parachute

:horror: Oh no. I'm probably late but here's to a quick low/no poop trip for the rest of the way.

I had an especially bad trip from NC to Denver about 5 years ago. I seriously considered ditching my flight from O'hare and renting a car. I didn't care that it was the middle of winter, I could barely will myself back on the plane.

              Stay strong!

                Oh, dear.

On our return flight from Hawaii I threw up a few times (flying doesn't agree w/ me when I'm pg) and ended up throwing up all over DS who was sitting in my lap. I had a change of clothes for him the first time it happened, but then I got sick again and he and I both wore vomit-stained clothes for the remainder of the trip.

I hope the rest of your trip is uneventful!!!

Oh no! I've been there, too. I think this is the very reason why they won't allow families with young children to sit in the emergency exit row. I hope everyone made it home in one piece.

I'm hoping that this can become a funny anecdote sooner rather than later.
Gah, I'm sorry for your crappy luck, or puke-y, as the case may be.

You never know, I might be there. My mom's 50th is in June, and I was thinking of going to throw her a party.

Flying with kids is horrible. It is so hard! I would rather drive 10 hours than fly for 2. Seriously. That's with Benadryl and booze. I feel your pain.

I hope you are home and safe now, and I hope Isabel is feeling better. Poor baby. Poor mama!

                              Re: I need parachute

The reality of how difficult it's going to be to see my parent's regularly has sunk in though. It's a long, expensive trip including a 2.5 hours drive to the airport. I don't see it happening more than once a year.
Any way you can get them out to see you on a regular basis until Lucy and Isabel get a bit older and easier to travel with?
