DH is going to help with DD's preschool class tomorrow. SOOOO cute - she is so excited that Daddy will be there for the entire time. He is going to do a small, very small, "presentation" on being a community helper (as a doctor). Wasn't there a post on this sometime ago? Any ideas on something fun and easy he could do that will not be way over their heads?

    How Cute!

Are you going to record it? It may be nice for you all to watch while he's away.

Anyway, I think preschoolers are pretty familiar with doctor's visits. Maybe he could tell the kids how they can help the doctor, and your daughter can be his "patient" and she can show how to hold really still for normal exam stuff? I bet they will be just thrilled to see a real live doctor who's a dad too-- in their classroom no less! Preschoolers tend to think that a doctor lives at the hospital, the teacher lives at the school, etc., etc. It's a kick to see the professional out of his or her assigned locale.

And of course they will want to see the real doctor gadgets! (If he's willing to share )

    I've been thinking of you!

Aloha from paradise! And the other side of training!

err...am I too late? DH did this for DS's kindergarten class. He wrongfully appropriated an assortment of masks, hats, booties, latex gloves, etcetera. The kids looooved dressing up. He brought in an anatomy puzzle and gave a little talk followed by questions. The kids asked the cutest things like, "Should I put strange things in my mouth?" and "My mom says that I was cut out of her belly".

This is very fun for all involved.
