We got to see Daddy at work today--our 16 month old fell off a chair and landed face first on our hard wood floors! The poor little thing tore her frenulum (just a little, doesn't need stitches) and her nasal septum (also no stitches thank goodness!). I felt horrible that I didn't catch her in time, but the little climber was bound to hurt herself sooner or later. She uses a step-stool to reach high surfaces and has been known to work her way to the kitchen counter to get into the upper cabinets!
I was really close to paying off all of our medical bills and I switched our health insurance so we wouldn't be paying so much out of pocket (in the thousands for 2002) but wouldn't you know it doesn't go into effect until tomorrow! Oh well, at least the little monkey is OK!
