  • ug! same thing as last year

last year, when i inquired if dd#1 would be able to get into the preschool/day care run by the hospital, they told me no. so, after 2 years on the waiting list, running around getting paperwork put together, and all other stuff needed for public school preschool, at the last minute they tell me yes. she got in. i was annoyed, yet relieved.

i asked in april about dd#2.
response was, "i don't know yet. we haven't gotten the list together yet. it will be out soon"

fast forward to july...today...i ask. no.

seriously? she's been on the waiting list for 3 years, another mom here...new to town called, and they told her, yes for the 4y.o class...yet, i'm being told no. something doesn't sound kosher to me.

i mentioned it to dd's teacher and she said it sounds like bull. because she knows the 3yo class moving into the 4yo classroom. she gave me the name of preschool directors boss. i just tried calling. they closed at 4:30.

i'm pulling up my big girl panties and calling tomorrow.

    so.annoyed.very.very.annoyed.

(side note: we looked at sending ds there during this summer, for camp. same woman told me...look in dd's cubby for info in april. that's when i pass out all the slips to the CURRENT enrolled children to offer this for the older sibling. never saw the slip. i never inquired, because after talking about it with dh, we decided it was too much $
you know what i think....me thinks that miss B and miss L have been in their comfy position for 20+ years too long! and they're slackers!!!!!)

I think those preschool people get really comfy in those jobs and are happy telling little people NO all day. Before you know it they then like telling adults NO. I can say that because I worked in preschools during college. I hope you get something worked out. Sounds like they are jerking your chain.
