This is one area of parenting where I will be more than happy to cede control to my dear wife. Anyway, our daughter is only 1 YO, so we have some time to come to terms with this.
I wonder if you can contract this stuff out?

I would seriously doubt it! It doesn't sound like anything anyone looks forward to.

and once again, I'm thankful that my dog and the cats are fixed. Although not a technique I'd recommend to those of you with children!!

I had to laugh when I read your post about your cats and dog being fixed! Not that it is terribly humorous, but bring back memories of living on the farm in Oklahoma as a kid, and not knowing for sure
'why we were putting rubber bands around all the boy calves parts in the spring?'...other than it wouldn't make them a bull, pretty vague to a 8yr old!

Did I mention that my sex education was vitrually none?!?!

I grew up on a farm too and was the same way. I even helped with the putting the bands on and still didn't get it!!!! I helped deliver pigs and never got the concept that it could possibly be in ANY WAY similar to people! 8O Of course, if had 10 kids at once .... I wouldn't survive!!!!

I was asking my hubby about his sex education days. It makes us laugh!!!! He didn't get anything from his parents .... except .... after our wedding luncheon, Russ' mom asked if she could talk with him. Her teaching consisted of two words. They were .... "Be gentle"!!!! We have laughed over that for years!
