  • Where do babies come from?

My husband and I are ready to start trying to have a baby again. We haven't had much luck in the past. Aside from medical help, do any of you have any suggestions? I've ready everything there is to know about ovulation, temperature, vaginal mucus etc. I'm think I'm looking for anecdotal motivation.

    Thanks

My brother and his wife tried for three years undergoing invasive therapy, gave up, retained counsel to begin adoption proceedings and found out they were 3 weeks pregnant without any intervention.

Things happen in weird ways. GOOD LUCK.

I know two people who conceived just as soon as they started adoption proceedings. One of my dearest friends just adopted a baby and is now pregnant with twins! Anyhow, what worked for us was not paying any attention to cycles, temperature, or whatever else you can monitor. After 10 months--voila! A bun in the oven! It didn't seem like a long time to wait to get pregnant becuase we weren't really letting the idea consume us.

My brother and sister in law had been trying for like two years to get pregnant and had been going for fertility treatment for about a year (some kind of hormone therapy for her, I don't know exactly). Her mother declared "All those kids need is to relax! Then it'll happen," and got them a one-week cruise somewhere warm. Our whole side of the family secretly scoffed a little at the idea that somehow the cruise was going to succeed where medical treatment had not.

Of course, they returned from the cruise and soon discovered that they were pregnant. Who knows?
