  • We're Making Progress

My daughter turned 18 months today and in my mind hit a huge milestone. For the first time, she used her crayons as a writing utensil instead of for a snack. She even colored enough on the pages to constitute artwork that we can send to grandparents! Eventhough her favorite thing to do is take them in and out of the box, I am very excited about her new task.

Just when we think that they will never master a new skill, they do and we regret another step farther away from babyhood.

The grandparents will love the artwork.

That is a great accomplishment! It also means that she is on the road to being able to entertain herself for short periods of time.

My mom teaches a MOPS class to 3-year olds 2 times a month, and she says that many of those kids can't color yet! Your child has indeed made progress!

Why do kids like to eat crayons??? Mine do that too, and I just don't get it. The curiosity over the taste of them must have been satisfied by now. So I guess they like the flavor???
