Where can I get one that's not three times the regular price? Aack, dd told me about these a few months back and I completely forgot. What's at the top of her list for Santa (actually it is the only thing on her list) Zhu zhu pets. Thanks iMSN peeps!

Toys R Us had the whole set last week for about $125. You got four hamsters, and a bunch of accessories. If you're just looking for a hamster and one or two accessories (at least around here), you have to basically meet the truck. TRU has also had a bunch of offers where the first 100 people on a certain day can buy a hamster. My sister got them plus one accessory for each niece and nephew, and it was a several week project of going to stores to see if they had anything. They're really cute (and now I'm hoping that my kids go crazy with excitement when they get them so that my sister feels all that work was worth it).

If you haven't found them yet, Toys R Us has had them the last three times I've been in - each time it was in the morning. If you're still having trouble let me know and I'll look here again for you.

These are at the top of dd2's list also.

I don't know what they are, but the R Us flyer says *new Zhu Zhu pets in every day!"... FWIW.

Thanks ladies. I will keep checking, might just break down and buy one for $35 on ebay.

I was showing DH what they were (after hearing about them everywhere) and stumbled across an article that Wal-Mart was planning on stocking up on them and selling them for $8 between Dec. 21-23.

Not sure if that is a specific WM, I only saw one article - good luck!

If anyone is still looking, Amazon finally has some for reasonable prices (the 3 pack hamsters are around $30 and there are accessories for about what Toys R Us sells them for).

Thanks for all the great advice. Dh decided to stop at TRU on his way home from the hospital and found an entire table of Zhu Zhu pets! He asked if they had any accessories and the worker said, "we don't even have these sir, the table will be empty in less than 30 min". I guess they had just unloaded them from the truck and dumped them on a table in the front. Whoo hoo, one less gift to stress about. Thanks again!

This is the most amazing part of your happy story! I'm really glad your DH found these- sounds like good timing and a stroke of luck! I just wish we lived in a place where workers said things like *sir*!!! We hear it on the military base, but certainly not in a TRU!!!
