Veggie booty (man was I glad they started making that stuff again- it's the only way the dude would ever willingly eat spinach or kale)
Baked Goldfish (they were a food group of their own for a while)
        Cheerios or Honey Nut Cheerios
Baby Crack (the puffs made by Gerber)
If he can hold it and manage it- yogurt tubes
        applesauce

You can freeze the yogurt tubes - they won't stay frozen until lunch, but firmer is easier to handle. And applesauce (and a bunch of other fruits) now come in these squeezable bags -- I call it baby astronaut food. http://www.amazon.com/GoGo-appleappl...3347606&sr=8-1 GoGo Squeeze, Peter Rabbit, Plum Organics and Revolution Foods are a few brands. I looked for the ones available via Amazon/subscribe and save so they're a little less expensive.

Ok I'm reviving a REALLY old thread because I thought we had one recently on lunches but can't find it.

My kids take their lunches in insulated lunch bags, if I put an ice block in can I send yogurt without it being frozen first? It will stay cold enough from 8:30 until lunch at 11:45 don't you think?

It may be gross, but I do it all the time and haven't died yet

3 hours? I'd do it. I sent dd to school with an insulated lunchbox with last night's chicken in it. She eats nothing at school, so I ate it at around 2. So far, so good.

I've done it daily for over a year now. I send the Stonyfield Yobaby drinks. I've even re-refrigerated unused ones if they still feel cold enough. At a $1 a pop, I ain't wasting 'em! No bad GI funk noticed here.

When the kids used to take yogurt, I would freeze it first. It was perfect for them by lunchtime.

We send soy yogurt & soy milk daily, but we do 3 ice packs in an insulated container.
