    • Last night at dinner, E successfully used "I farted" after she let one rip. For a while she's been saying she went poopoo when really she just farted, so we've been trying to teach her the difference. I can't decide if I'm proud or regretting this now. It cracked me up at the time, which I'm sure is not at all what I should be teaching my child.

Ha! That's always a good sign! Lol. Made me think about how one of my kids calls that letter "double d" almost all the time. It makes me laugh. He would go around finding all the "double ds" for like two weeks and scream double D. I was just waiting for some mom with fake boobs at the park to get offended. Ha! Thankfully not so into W anymore.

She's actually really good with her letters - knows them all with their sounds, and can usually tell us what letter words start with. She can write several of them too. They do a new letter every other week at school, and she loves learning them.

              • The first time my daughter went through her first steep mountains at around 4, she took one look over the edge and coined the term "High Sick". We still use that one!

                  • K1 got in my car after school today and the first words out of his mouth were, "Mom, did anyone happen to call you from my school today?" Apparently, there was a sub today and he was cutting up in class to amuse his friends. He thought it was funny to draw a superheroe beaten and bleeding with his privates exposed. Now I'm preparing for the biannual parent/teacher conference. Trying to dress like a responsible adult. I'm supposed to stop by the school psychologist before visit his class to sign paperwork for his IEP. Why is it always the psychiatrist's kid?

                    • E was watching me change C's diaper and said, "Eww, he had poopoo on his Tennessee, where his peepee comes out!"

                      • Yesterday as I was putting the kids in the car DS1 goes, "Mom, WHY are you wearing that shirt today?" I'm like, "I don't know. Is there something wrong with it?!?" And then of course by that point he'd already moved on and couldn't remember why he asked me about my shirt in the first place. So I spent the rest of the day worried my shirt looked awful or something, thanks to fashion advice from my 4 year old. 😖

                          • I posted this on FB, but: we were playing Clue. Aidan (13) kept guessing using "Drew Peacock". Everyone kept snickering. Finally, he said it fast enough that I picked up "droopy cock". 🙄. Sorry if that offended.
