Stumbled across this and really liked it. With intensifying baby excitement, sometimes it helps to be reminded of the importance of what got us there!

We talked about this A LOT in my bible study last year and it is one of the reasons that DH and I have tried REALLY hard to do regular date nights and have one vacation/year that is just us. Its hard with an infant but its doable.

The assumptions in that article fascinate me.

^^^ I can see that with #4, but I thought the rest was relatively uncontroversial?

No, not controversial, I've got no beef with what she says. Just seems like she's coming at the issue from a black and white perspective, with only two flip sides of the coin...in my opinion there's some valid gray areas and other dimensions and whatnot.

Ah, I see. Based on what I can gather from the rest of her blog (SAHM homeschooling mom), sounds like she wrote it as a personal "It's okay for me to do this" wake up call!

Totally agree with the principle. Totally agree there is a lot of gray area.
