  • Moms!

I am posting this here because this is NOT a debate! Its a well worded article on how the SAHM/WOHM debate will never end but we should all let up on ourselves and each other!

Thanks for posting that C. I struggle with Mommy guilt everyday and have been reprimanded for my decisions to be a WOHM, although I really have little choice right now. It is an interesting article pointing out that the grass isn't always greener.

It is so true that you can't catch a break either way (from judgmental peeps)...most of my former coworkers have kids, and don't understand how I can "just" be a mom (boring, tiring, unfulfilling, etc). The SAH residents' wives - don't understand how a few moms work

So funny - my biggest pet peeve has become people saying they are "just" a mom or dad. I think it's not only completely demeaning to that individual, but also to the children! I really like this article. I find I have more internal struggles than anything, as I pretty much care very little anymore about what other people think of me.

Ha, I still have my favorite quote from that article on my clipboard...I hadn't decided where to re-post it but I loved it!

As far as I can tell, no matter what decision a woman makes, she's offering an invaluable gift to my daughters and me. So I'd like to thank all of you. Because I'm not necessarily trying to raise an executive or a mommy. I'm trying to raise a woman. And there are as many different right ways to be a woman as there are women.

I loved this! It makes me so glad to live on a time when we can choose, and I hope we can eventually choose without all the negative judgement (on both sides).
