I saw this yesterday. It totally cracked me up. I have to say I "got" it all but didn't know that Ina May was pronounced "eena May". So I'm not that crunchy

Based on what was actually said/done, I think I'm 50-75% crunchy.
I have a TV, though... Dun dun duuuuuun! (Why no mention of the "evils" of television?)

I've never done ANY of that shit and I'm pretty damn nutty/crunchy. Some of that should be labeled "Shit douchey mamas say..."

A crunchy mom wouldn't pump in the bathroom. "Do you prepare *your* food in the bathroom?" tsk tsk

I'm with Heidi. Half the time I had no idea what she was talking about and the other half I thought she was gross.

Think Portland or Ashland. Nutty/crunchy = hippie.

Ina May Gaskin is probably one of the most famous midwives. She works on The Farm which is a commune in Tennessee. Yes I did briefly entertain the idea of traveling out there for a VBAC. She's given lectures and talks, authored several books and has published or is publishing the statistics of her births. She has a very low complication rate and C-section rate.
