I wouldn't be up for it.
I like swimming, and summer, but 2 kids who can't swim yet would be really scary for me. I'm sure I'll eat my words later...

We do the splash pad thing, and it's great! I wonder why the party wasn't at a local splash pad, or something better equipped for small kids?

Fortunately DH is going to be able to stay home with DD, so it won't be too bad. DS is timid in the water, so when I've had them both, I put a floatie on him and had him wait on the step. I had another mom watch him while I got in with DD, then he played with toys standing on the step next to me. He didn't want to go in deeper. If he did, I'd probably put her in a pack & play. I've only done that at playdates, though, never with more than two moms + kids.

It went great, and I had a fun time, in spite of my whiny-ness! DS was great, and I didn't have to get in the water. I'm so glad I got to see everyone one more time before we move.
