I know there have been numerous car seat-related posts on here, and I read through some of them, but I'm hoping someone can recommend a good convertible car seat for use on an airplane that would also fit in small rental cars. I have the Britax Advocate, but it's way too wide to bring on a plane, so I'm looking for something narrower. I'd also like one that rear-faces for a long time. Any recommendations? Thank you!

We used a Coccoro.

It's awesome, because it's just 11 pounds. We attached it to a Go Go Kidz, and off we went. It even fits through airplane aisles, so you don't have to detach the car seat (nor your kid from the car seat, for that matter) until you get to your row. Same for getting off the plane. It was GREAT!married to an anesthesia attending

We have the Britax Boulevard and it fits perfectly on a plane even though its a large seat. The Britax Roundabout is more narrow so easier to manage in the airport and on the plane.Tara
