I will have to look at it, with most IKEA things shipping negates the savings...but I'm glad you brought it up, good reminder.

Thankfully, DS never got into Thomas.

Kris, that's really cool! We got a 9-bin thingie at Target, but all the bins are the collapsible fabric kind so you can't tape photos to it. :-/

ETA: anyone have any Lego ideas??? I bought plastic drawers but then he doesn't use the ones in the drawers. He basically likes his legos scattered all over the floor so he can easily see what he wants. If you've ever stepped on a lego...

C's legos are in a huge clear tote. I have decided that I am going to simply take what ever isn't put away at the end of the day and he can earn them back...

R is just getting into Legos but I've always thought these looked like a good idea.

Cheri, I thought I read that they were building one nearby? Is there a Container Store? They may have something similar.

They are but it doesn't open until 2014 and we don't have a container store either.

Thanks!! I showed DS and he thought it would work. I'll let you know! HoW, I read your post to DS and he didn't like that idea. LOL. How does C earn them back?

Usually, through sucking up and doing extra chores or helping with his sister. He hates it, but I find it to be a win/win. The f'ing legos aren't on the floor and he is productively occupied! Or, I just decide on a whim to give them back. I'm gunning for mother of the year by being inconsistent.

G has one of those, too. He ended up using it for matchbox cars though. It's really cool.
