Yes, I know that it's May. However, I just stumbled upon something while looking for dress up clothes for boys. Many of the children's (and adults') costumes on amazon.com are deeply discounted now. If you want to plan ahead for the Fall, this may be a good time.

    http://www.amazon.com/Darling-Devil-...words=COSTUMES $2.75

    http://www.amazon.com/Candy-Corn-Cos...words=COSTUMES $3.40

    http://www.amazon.com/Haunted-House-...words=COSTUMES $1.75

I've been thinking about a family costume for us as DH should def be off unless there is an interview and I know I'd have to think about it now for it to work.

Do think of a backup for just you and the toddler; DH had an interview on halloween day, hundreds of miles away.

I've been thinking about sister costumes, but haven't come up with a winner yet. DD1 will be 2, DD2 will be 3.5 months...

Thing 1 and Thing 2 - red sweatsuits, make the white circles out of felt and blue wigs or just make their hair crazy. Easiest costumer EVER! (For adults too!)

I do this for my boys. I start with finding at least one of their costumes on deep discount and then working the other around it. K2's first Halloween, he was 3mo and K1 was 21mo. I found Dalmatian costumes at a consignment shop and DrK and I wore firefighter helmets. Last year, K2 was 15mo and K1 was almost 3yo; I found a discounted penguin costume for K1 and got an equally discounted polar bear costume for K2. I intended to add a top hat and bow tie to the polar bear costume but K2 just adored the penguin costume and he wanted to be the same as his brother. Thankfully, the penguin costume was damaged in such a way that made it unwearable for K1 but perfect for K2 (one of the boots had a seam sewn shut which made it impossible for K1 to fit his foot into it). When I informed the manufacturer, they sent me a second penguin costume gratis. I noticed that amazon has a Nemo costume in K1's size on sale. . . maybe an under the sea theme will be in the works. . .

Are our kids all going to have the same costumes this year? LOL

Looks like they also had lots of Angry Birds and ninja costumes on sale.

Still thinking about this. I kind of want to do Phineas and Ferb. DH would make an excellent Dr. Doofenschmirtz. N could be Perry or Ferb. If I can rope my sisters in, we could do most of the show.

If it looks like DH wont be off, I'm thinking about doing a mommy/daughter costume--Barista and a Pumpkin Spice Latte.

                              Any other ideas?
