You can turn off the location info.

I'm pretty sure this is old - those are our local newscasters and they don't look like that - hah! But yes, definitely turn off the location info for your camera and any other camera apps you use on your phone.

          It is - but, I didn't know.
I have more weird fears now as a parent than I ever had while single: the thought of someone being able to stalk my child gives me the creeps.

Luckily, my phone had it turned off.

The thing you have to think of is checking ALL photo apps, not just the camera - like on mine I have instagram and Camera+ - anything that takes a photo needs to have the location services off I think. Now if you do it with instagram that means you can't post a location when you post a photo, but...

And yes, there are so many things to worry about with our kids these days, its sad!

Right there with you. One of my things is not letting the grandparents or anyone photograph my kids in the bathtub or otherwise unclothed. I don't even like having my boys photographed with their shirts off. Sure, nana isn't a perv but IDK where that pic is going to end up when she sends it for developing or starts showing it around.

This is one reason I'm glad MIL doesn't have fb because she's really not up on all of this predator stuff and I fear what would happen if she started posting pictures of the kids.

Yeah, MILK is the queen of over-sharing. She thinks I'm totally paranoid.

So I've always had a question about this - I OBVIOUSLY don't want my child exploited but if some creep wants to steal a hardcopy/printed photo of my child and do something sexual with it - how would I ever know? It would be terrible and gross but since it falls under the category of "I would never know/don't want to think about it", I just don't worry about it. Obviously child pornography is unspeakable and atrocious but if someone wants to pull down a picture of my kid in a bathing suit on facebook, I don't know how I'm going to stop them. I mean sick people are totally sick - they could do something sexual with a fully clothed picture of a child too. Am I being naive?

I don't take/post naked pictures of my DD anyway but just wondering...

I'd be concerned about the pictures being published, distributed, altered...

But can't any picture be altered? Photoshop is basically dummy proof nowadays.

Yeah but I don't have to draw a road map by providing a picture of two naked boy in a bathtub.

My Christmas card one year had two naked boy butts on it. Shrug. I can't worry about everything or I'd be institutionalized.
