That's great news Jennifer--I swear, being sleep deprived can really mess with you're entire well being! I have a friend who swears by that book as well, so hopefully that will be a good resource for you!
    Awake is the new sleep!

I was reading your posts with some selfish dread of my own for what's to come!!! I just wanted to add that I love the healthy sleep book (the yellow one) and that the pediatrician/sleep specialist doesn't recommend doing anything but comforting baby and following your instincts until 4 months. At that point, he advocates letting the baby cry it out. I did this with my first when she was 6 months, and she was a super sleeper since then. It was much more complicated with the twins, but they never slept with us (DH almost rolled over our 4-lb daughter one night, and that was the end of the cosleep adventure--- I could only adequately protect one child from him!), and they didn't sleep well for naps or during the night until at least 4 months. It was the most exhausting period of my life, and I can't say they are extremely great sleepers now, but at least they have a routine and thing did in fact get better!

Anyway, I totally empathize with how you must be feeling! I remember being so exausted... Would your husband be willing to stay up one night and give a bottle, like your mom did? If your baby gets to be aware that night feedings don't necessarily mean snuggling with mom, perhaps they'd lose some of their appeal. My DH did this for me exactly one night! Oh well.

Good Luck and I am glad to hear that things seem to be improving!
