  • Gifts ideas for 6 year old.

Ok, I'm just realizing I'm missing one Christmas gift and a birthday gift for A - ack!

If you have girls in that age range what are they getting for Christmas?

ETA: I asked her tonight and she wasn't helpful.

Sophie is getting foam curlers (classy, right? But she wants curly hair and it just isn't happening otherwise) and an apron from my sister. They are currently 40% off, meaning that one her size is roughly $15 and it will fit her for years because it is adjustable.

Dd is getting a felt board set and dot paints for some of her gifts. She also loves stamps and the thumbprint drawing set.

My dd5 is getting lots of games-- she loves games. They usually have some good discounts on amazon on highly rated games...

My sister is getting her the game Trouble - what is a felt board set?

She loves crafts and drawing, I'm BAD at crafts. Is there a set or something I can get her?

A felt board set is this: http://www.amazon.com/Learning-Fun-W...ref=pd_sim_t_4. Basically a felt board with felt dolls and clothes, etc. Honestly you'd never think much of them but our kids have always loved them

The Thumbprint drawing set is tons of fun too, especially if she likes art (providing you don't mind if she gets ink on her fingers).

Mine was kind of pissed when we canceled Ladybug in favor of Spider. We still haven't actually gotten the latter, but I hope she likes it just as well.

Speaking of Legos, she might like Goldie Blox. I also recently heard of these girl-positive Barbie-alternative dolls, Lottie: http://www.amazon.com/Lottie-LT004-S...dp/B008XYIC9Q/

I think the recommended age may be older but my 5 year old god daughter asked for glitzy globes. (Crafty).
