      The process is so stupidly complicated that I can't beleive it actually works.

      After all of our paperwork is submitted and notarzied, it gets sent to Russia for approval from the orphanage director. We sit and wait for whatever infant they determine mathces our preferences to get off the waiting list that is required both locally and nationally (three months for each list and it's rare if ever that the lists run concurrently) then we get our referral and if we accept it then we go over and meet this little person. Then we leave and wait until we are approved and then we fly back and go to court, then go to Moscow to get the American documents.

      and finally- back home!
