How much would you pay a high school aged mothers helper (whose dad happens to work with your DH)? I think she is a junior.

Our high school age babysitters also get $10/hour, plus usually an extra hour (but that's when we're gone).

I generally pay $10/hr for sitters and $7/hr for mother's helpers assuming that mother's helpers are younger and assume less responsibility than sitters. I have one regular sitter who I pay $10/hr regardless of whether she's sitting or helping because she is over 18, in college, and she's worked with my family for over 2 years.

$10 sounds about right given it is twins and she is older

Thanks! I paid her $10 - I thought. I thought she was staying for 4hrs, so I put $40 in my pocket earlier. He dad ended up picking her up an hour early (she doesn't drive yet), and I didn't even think about it and handed her what was in her pocket. Promptly got a text from her mom saying I paid her too much. Lol. Oopsy! I'm so tired, I can't even handle paying babysitters. Ugh I freaking hate call weeks!!! Pagers or babies waking me up nonstop!!!!
