  • Teeth??

My daughter cut her bottom two teeth about a week before she turned 4 months and had no problem. About two weeks later she cut the two top teeth. Since then, four more (two on top, two on bottom) have come in, again without any problem at all. So my question is: when do the bigger molars usually start to come in? Last night she slept for a grand total of three hours, crying if she was in her bed but she would play if we got up with her. She doesn't seem to be sick, no cold/fever/constipation etc, but she is pretty moody. Is it (8 months) to early for those big chompers to be coming in? I tried to look, but its not the easiest thing to do. I don't feel anything yet either, but I also don't have anything to compare it to, so they could be swollen, I just don't know what normal is. She really bites on stuff, but she always has since she's been teething almost constantly for months. If it is the teeth, does anyone have any really great remedies for a sleepless baby?? If there is no remedy (I know this is a STRONG possibility ), about how long can I expect this to last? We gave her some baby motrin which helped her be less moody, but it didn't help her sleep. We walked, rocked, sang, watched baby einstein, and drove around...and nothing put her to sleep. I finally know how lucky I was that she didn't have a problem with the previous teeth!!

    Shella,

Aidan has pretty much followed the same course as your daughter. Bottom two, top two and now the incisors are coming in.....If he is feeling fussy in the evening and has his fists in his mouth, etc, I've given him an infant dose of tylenol. It really seems to help. Have you considered trying a little dose to see if it helps?
