  • the cast is off!

This morning at 7:30 Joel got his cast off! His arm smells to high heaven, but he is one happy little boy. The tech rubbed his arm down with alcohol and that seemed to get rid of the worst of the stink. He has a few range of motion exercises to do, but the P.A. felt that he would have full use of his arm by the end of the weekend.

We are headed to Dallas this weekend for a quickie reunion with DH's family (brothers and parents). We are planning to hit a water park and Six Flags, and the adults are going to have a nice meal out at a french restaurant.....my sitter is going to drive down and watch the five kids we have between us. Joel has been given the "okay" for roller coasters, but not water slides (except for the baby ones) but I think he is fine with that.

I am a little stressed about Six Flags because it is going to be hotter than blazes and I will be stuck with the two-year-old while everyone else has fun. I don't like roller-coasters at all, so sticking with Nathan just makes sense, but I am not looking forward to that part of the weekend. DH has advised me to just relax and go with the flow, so I am trying to find my "special place" and do just that......

I will be back here on Wednesday!

Good luck with mothers-in-law, moves, and bored children....

Great news for little Joel! Ah, summer in Texas sounds like a treat! Remind me of this when I'm whimpering about the Minnesnowda next winter. Have a fantastic time.
