  • Fun idea for old kid's clothes....

I have meant to 'pass this on' for awhile now but I am so limited in my online time with the baby so active and the kids home for the summer.

There are certain outfits of my childrens that I have had a hard time getting rid of. Instead of giving them away or taking them to the second hand shop I started cutting them into quilt blocks and I've been slowly piecing out quilts for each of them out of just their clothes and then one for Thomas and I that has all of our clothes in it. I just started this a couple of months ago from their old collections of clothes and hope to keep piecing, etc for the next several years...I thought it would make a real neat memory quilt.

If any of you are into quilting or sewing I thought it would be a fun idea to share.

Wow, that sounds like a really cool idea. My husband has a quilt like that his grandma made him and we both really love it. All the colors and textures and patters are fun. I've never done one myself, but it looks like they would come together pretty quick, is that true?

They piece together pretty quickly....I'm not being very exact about block sizes so these are definitely going to be unique
