    School starting anyone?

    OK..we're at the T-2 weeks and counting mark We start Sept. 1st and it couldn't start soon enough!!! How are the rest of you holding up and when are your munchkins starting back to school? We finally laid the Kindergarten conundrum to rest and registered Alex at Montessori.....

    For me it is... I am going to teach 2 days a week, so my DD will be in daycare for the first time. Waaahhhhhh...........

      Yes, my first baby starts his very first day of school next Monday. He is so ready, but I am not.

        My kids started today. My third grader got off the bus and burst into tears inside our door. I think he was just overwhelmed. I hope. He told me a story about being kicked from team to team at recess. Since we just moved in, he is the new kid in town. I'm sure that is rough in third grade. I sincerely hope things get better. Right now, I'm fantasizing about telling off some third grade boys........

        My daughter had kindergarten orientation--she starts FOR REAL on Monday. She is showing signs of being clingy. (I'm sure seeing her brother completely breakdown after school isn't going to help ) It could be a rough month in mommy-town.....

        Anybody got some good vibrations out there??

          School started for us (mommy included!) yesterday. So far, so good. My boys are enjoying their new classes, my "baby" is doing fine in the 3K aftercare program (which he is technically not old enough for) in the afternoons when I teach, and I am REALLY enjoying my little third graders. I teach them social studies.....I have 2 sections of 12 kids each, and one section is ALL BOYS! Right up my alley...... . They are very cute and so far, very enthusiastic.

          My middle son started soccer practice this evening. His practice was at 6, and as we were driving there, the thermometer on my rearview mirror read 101 degrees! 8O By the time we came home a little after 7, it had cooled off to 98. It is days like these that make me glad we are moving to Indiana in a year.

          Angie, I am sorry to hear that your son had a rough day today. We have a couple of new boys in my class and I have been trying to watch out for them.....they seem to be doing okay so far. I am sure your son's teacher is watching out for him, too, as much as possible. My son was the new kid in both first and second grades, since we moved him to private school after first grade. I remember how hard it was to send him into what I knew was a hard situation. I hope things improve tomorrow.

            our older boy started pre k yesterday.
            i compensated with shopping at old navy. i only broke one what not to wear (bbc version) rule
