Oh, I miss Mervyn's! We don't have any here so I'll have to make a Mervyn's run when I'm in California!

Nellie, don't you love the way they make you feel when you go to "the back of the store"? We have a rug outlet by us and every time I go there I go straight to the back room where the cheap damaged stuff is. The lady who runs the place no longer gives me that warm "Can I help you?" greeting. :>

Yeah, I don't think they would have noticed if I went into labor in the back of the store. Well, maybe they would have just asked me to move further back and stop making so much noise. :>
But I did get 50% off Mimi jeans and an cozy outfit that got me through the last 2 months of pregnancy.

        Hey all-

I'm glad someone mentioned ebay--if you do a search for something along the lines of "maternity lot" people sell piles of stuff in one auction. It might seem painful to pay 100 bucks for a lot of stuff, but it's sometimes a lot more than you'd get just buying the on sale stuff at various places. Sometimes you can get several shirts and pants in one lot. The same goes for kids clothes--when I found out I was having a boy the first time, my mom bought several lots. You end up with some weird things that you'll throw out, but overall, you can find some nice gently worn stuff from baby Gap and Old Navy and end up saving some money rather than buying it new.

I'm still wearing a regular pair of jeans, one size too big--but I think I'm pushing it because today I had them unbuttoned and unzipped just to be comfortable. Everytime I stood up from my desk, I had to make sure my sweater covered it up! I just can't bear to get back into those panel pants...
