  • Help me find some patience

Aidan has had the sniffles all week..runny but also stuffy nose/under the weather/whiney behavior. He has not slept as well at night because of his nose etc and so we're all a little tired.

Last night though, he spiked a high fever. I actually thought he was having convulsions at one point and woke up Thomas...he was actually just shivering so hard (I guess his fever was going up?) . I have only slept a few hours and he has cried/whined all day long.

Alex was also sick today and I didn't take them to the pediatrician because I had no car (long story).

In any case, I'm on the serious verge here....I've got to find my inner Zen self.....

Ahhh Kris, I am so sorry to hear about your boys. I hate those days/weeks when everyone is sick and cranky. Here's to hoping they recover soon and you can get some much needed rest. Hang in there!

      I'm sorry, Kris!
And you've had no sleep as well.
Hang in there. I hope he starts feeling better soon and that you get some rest tonight.

Oh, Kris, Aidan sounded miserable on the phone....I'm sorry, this sucks. Get well soon, Math family.

I hope everybody gets better soon! It is hard to be patient when you're exhausted from caring for sick children.

Ok, politically incorrect post from one who is not yet a parent-

              Benedryl, all around....including mom.

Medications for kids is a huge topic around here...my husband won't let me give them benadryl..we actually fight over the tylenol issue...every medication has a potential side effect, you know I had to get really ticked off to get him to buy the tylenol cold this time for Aidan....

In any case, I went to the pediatrician this morning (against my own vibes on the issue). I was there for 2.5 hours (of course ) and it is viral....I'm glad we check it out, but I read three Parents magazines (and 1 child magazine) and he threw up all over me while we were waiting. Then I stopped at the drive-thru for Alex on the way home and once the food was in the car, he threw up there too.

                ugh....it's been a long week!

YUCK! I still have yet to be thrown up on but I'm sure it's around the corner. That's about the only thing we haven't had yet!

I know your DH doesn't like the meds, but Dimetapp worked great for Keelin's stuffy nose....and it made her sleepy on the plane, too. :!

I hope everybody gets well soon!
