I want to add after Kelly's post: Introducing a bottle is a lifesaver if you plan to ever have a babysitter that first year. I'd recommend, however, that you not introduce a bottle until the baby is three or four weeks old. At that point the baby is old enough to have really gotten the hang of nursing (on average - some babies take longer) and most likely won't get confused by the radically different grip/sucking pattern needed for a rubber/silicon nipple. The baby is generally still young enough at that point to not throw a crazy fit if the milk isn't coming from Mommy (ie not entirely set in their ways yet). Dads make great bottle-introducers btw!
Ditto on the water. I made sure that everytime I sat down to nurse I had a glass of water/milk/juice to drink at the same time. "Water out - water in" was my motto.
