  • the ups and downs

So my son is not quite four months now and, like his sister, he's not that into napping. I can't complain too much because he's rarely fussy but when I get him to sleep in his crib for over an hour during naptime it's a red letter day.

He's much better if we are out and about for the morning nap and in his crib for the afternoon (albeit SHORT) nap. Then he usually takes a catnap around 4. Sigh. I am already dreaming about afternoon naps where both my kids go down at the same time!!! I'm probably dreaming but I need a little pick me up right about now!!!

The good news is that I have finally gotten him to sleep through the night and while it took longer than my daughter (patience is a virture!!!) he sleeps a little longer than she did and so I can feel good about that!!!

The rollercoaster of having an infant in the house continues!!!!

PS For those of you who helped me with the whole "double stroller question" I want to thank you! The one I chose is perfect and I'm so glad I have one to take to the zoo or park etc.

We went through a phase right around then where Mitchell wasn't napping either. I'm happy to say that as of about a month ago (he's 9 months now) he has been napping consistently for at least one 2-hour nap each day. It makes for a long day when baby doesn't nap, so I hope you get your little guy napping better soon!!!
So, which stroller did you decide on?

So today "swaddling" him for his afternoon nap worked for....(well we'll see -- I shouldn't jump the gun since it's only been about ten minutes!

I chose the "Phil and Teds E3 Explorer" (http://www.philandteds.com) with the doubles attachment. I bought it at "The Right Start" so I could try it out and see if this quirky stroller was for me. It's been AMAZING and while I don't have fussy kids who hate strollers, the structure is good because it's not bigger than a single jogger.... I do get some pretty funny looks I must say though but for parents with two young kids -- they think it's great and stop me on the street all the time.

Anyway...I am better today. Maybe yesterday I was just a little "off" and the no nap thing made things worse!

It looks like an awesome stroller. I just emailed it to my SIL and she says that is the one she is getting.
