what'll they think of next...though my baby is now regularly grabbing at that area during changes, ripping off any washcloth or diaper I put there.

That is too funny! I recently saw that in a magazine. The only thing is that I'd hate having to wash them, so maybe those snow cone wrappers will work better since they are disposable....

I used to have a kleenex ready to drape over the area as soon as I opened the diaper.....it didn't soak up too much, but it prevented pee in the eye!

Funny! Luckily, we've outgrown the pee as soon as air hits the penis during diaper changing, but those things would have come in handy several months ago! Actually, our little guy peed on my dh pretty much the second he entered the world--they handed a screaming new baby to my dh and the baby immediately peed on him. (I had to edit that last statement because it initally read like my dh peed on the baby .)

I just read this post about five minutes after DS got himself in trouble--we were letting him "air out" after a full diaper and he decided to test the firehose. He looked so proud of himself and it was our fault that we let him run free willy, so I couldn't be mad about him peeing on the carpet--boys never stop being amused by their special skills...

I only got peed on once when DS was 5 weeks old - I was so surprised that I yelped and the poor guy started screaming. Now, however, he freely pees on the carpet whenever he gets the chance, like E's mom's baby. He had a yeast infection on his bum so I was giving him lots of naked baby time.

I wonder if people actually use the teepees? I think they're a hoot, but can't see actually buying them except as a gag gift.
