  • I went to Kindergarten...

and I have to say that if I was going to go back to school, this is where I would want to start

Instead of sitting to the side while the teacher taught, I decided to sit on the rug with Finny....to be closer to her...

So..Finny and her best friend, Stephanie practically sat on my lap the whole time...and we sat in circle time for 30 minutes listening to the teacher read really cool stories (I couuld have sat there all morning!) and then we got up and did a song/dance to get the sillies out We had to wiggle and bump butts...and I nearly bumped Finny out of the room! Then we got to go and color our little homework about the stories and I got so engrossed in the kids at my table and coloring my own picture (oh, yes I did ! ) that the teacher had to come to me and put a grown-up pen in my hand to go and help everyone write the words

It's fun being in Kindergarten....but I have to say that I was exhausted after only 2 hours!!!!

Kris - Kindergarten is the place to be! They do a lot of fun things but it sure wears you out. I am always amazed how teachers do it everyday when I am totally exhausted after a short time.

Russ gave a presentation at Tyler's preschool about doctors and he brought stethoscopes and even needles for the kids to shoot oranges (with his help of course). It was a huge success and exactly what Tyler needed. Russ and Tyler really butt heads so this was a great treat for Tyler to be with Dad. We were only there an hour and we didn't feel like doing anything the rest of the day!

I would definitely say that preschool and kindergarten is where it is at!!!!

This does sound like fun! We have a friend who is a kindergarten teacher and she always spends the first week of school going to bed at 8:00 until she gets used to the energy demands again!
