Kids Names

All this talk about children, names, etc. makes me wonder what everyone's kids names are (if you don't mind sharing).

Mine are Jacob and Quinn - a.k.a the Duo of Destruction. Both boys.

Gavin and Dagny. (gotta change my username!!!) I've discovered that an unusual name is a PITA. Dagme? Dagley? Dagney? Gagny? (wtf, GAGny?!)...sigh. Stupid me thought spelling her name would be intuitive.

Nerdy factoid: both boys have Hindi middle names (had to give dh something.) Kiran means "ray of light" in Hindi, and in Gaelic means "the dark one" . Sajan means "beloved".

Nikolai Daniel

For those who missed out on the start of the saga, people asked us if we were going to keep "the Russian name" and we always, always said, "well, if it's something cool like Nikolai, we will." Imagine OUR surprise...

Daniel doesn't flow particularly well with it, but it was my grandfather's name and I love it. and he seems to have a similar personality and musical talent as my grandfather, too!
