Aidan loves raisin bran...absolutely adores it....except...he hates raisins. So every morning he begs for his cereal "dat one"....then...he eats the bran flakes and spits the raisins out on the table and floor. I've tried just buying bran flakes. Apparently, they aren't as good, because...he only wants raisin bran.

If he and Quinn could eat breakfast together, it would be perfect. Quinn picks out all the raisins and leaves the flakes.

Okay, just kidding, but I did just buy 5 boxes of Captain Crunch because they were on sale for $1.75 per box! Yes, and I have my graduate degree in Nutrition, I'm sure my advisor would be so proud

Isn't it terrible how far we fall? I went from the "no child will eat anything I haven't personally baked with my own two hands"/cloth diapers phase to the "have some more lucky charms...would you like extra marshmallows with that" phase.

See, I don't have kids and I have this problem. My DH will eat raisins in cooked things like bread pudding but not otherwise!

            It gets better.

Today after lunch at Alex's school we were walking down the hallway and a young teacher walked by and leaned over and said "hi" to Aidan...who promptly broke wind and then proudly stated "Mommy, I farted".

            :thud:

            I'm so proud.

He sounds like quite a character Kris!
I started off healthy with the kids, but my pendulum has swung way to the other side. You know you've relaxed your standards when their poop comes out a color that nature doesn't generally create (like teal blue). :!

I love that the Nutritionist has joined in with the insanity!

I'll never forget the first blue diaper I changed ... I was terrified, then calmed down when I realized it was just the slurpie he drank.

I had to laugh this morning as I went walking into the gym to teach aerobics, carting my kids who were finishing up their breakfast of... chocolate chip cookies... (hey, it's got eggs in it, right??!). My nutrition professor would be giving me that 'prim' look over her glasses right now!!

Ahh, the joys of childhood nutrition!! I used to have all of the child nutrition answers... until I had kids .
