  • Bad Mommy Moment

But it's entirely the Dawkter's fault. At least in theory.

So, my beloved procrastinator husband has had the neurology boards apps since November when I downloaded it and the bajillion pages of instructions.

It's due 1/31. He started yesterday.

Today he calls and says, "hey, I need copies of my diplomas from internship and residency."

    I say, "OK."

He says, "can you do it today?"

    I say, "umm, sure"

So, I throw Nikolai into the horrible umbrella stroller and yank the diplomas off the wall and am attempting to steer the stupid stroller and carry these huge things under one arm when-

the stroller rolls right off the sidewalk and into the parking lot where the dude landed on his forehead.

    Nice.

He has a huge goose egg and a lovely abrasion. So we went inside, calmed down, got cleaned up and off we went to Kinkos.

I feel horrible. and furious that my beloved husband waited once again and everything is in a big rush.

We're in the same boat with neuro boards and procrastinating spouses. I forced the issue last week, and we got it done. Otherwise I KNOW we would have had to pay the extra $500 late fee, and Fedex charges.

Oooh - those goose eggs are the worst. But, he got lots of hugs and kisses and knows his mommy loves him to pieces.

      Totally Rick's fault.

WTF!! DH has waited long enough that the Medical College sent him a letter saying his place in the residency would be terminated if he didn't take his boards in the next few months!!!

I too had to cart my child with framed diplomas to Kinkos and then to the post office and pay for an overnighted letter. I would have also had to locate a notary repulic (and probably kill my husband) if he hadn't gotten the news from a fellow resident in the call room that the hospital has one. T
otally your husband's fault...are you sure we aren't married to the same guy?

Sorry if that came off as a bit strong

DH is on call this weekend and we have not had one civil phone conversation today...and I anticipate more of the same for the rest of the weekend.

Are you kidding? That's not strong...

When we actually discuss their dismemberment is when it gets "strong".
