  • First Kiss??

OMG...I just discovered this! That is way too funny. Is it sad that my first kiss experience mirrored yours..but it was at the end of the 10th grade. My best friend/boyfriend finally decided to 'go for it' standing in our living room near our piano. I was so...horrified that I practically threw him out of the house and didn't talk to him for days....sadly, he never tried again. I wonder if I traumatized him.

I did play spin-the-bottle once during 10th grade too...so maybe THAT was my first kiss. The poor guy..Dave was his name...gave me a big slobbery kiss..I later told my girlfriends it was like kissing a wet fish and one of them told him. He was so hurt by it that he wouldn't talk to me anymore.

Poor guys...they really get the raw end of the deal! It must be terrible to be a teenage boy and to have to make the first move..and then be rejected! I would have never made it as a boy!

I want everyone to pony up with their stories now.

You know what's embarassing? I don't remember my first kiss.

How is that possible? There were lots of slobbery make out sessions in my teen years with virtual stranger teenage boys at rock concerts. All those dangerous skater boy types. (Yeah!!) Then, the high school crush. I also remember kissing the guy who was just a good friend but wanted to be more (and hating it....and feeling guilty for hating it.) I've realized I was a kissing slut in my youth. I need to call my therapist.

Oh, I remember mine! I was in the 5th or 6th grade and we were at the skating rink, which was the only place for someone of my age to hang out in our dinky little town. They had a couples skate where they would briefly turn out the lights for a few seconds throughout the song and you were expected to kiss your partner. I was disgusted, because I kept my mouth closed and Bob did not, so I was basically covered in his saliva. He broke up with me shortly thereafter, I guess my kissing skills weren't up to snuff.
My next kiss didn't come for 5 or 6 more years!

I had two- the good one and the awful one.

The awful one- I was in 7th grade and I was 'going with' Jason M. who was a fellow redhead. (weren't we the pair) except that I thought he was really pretty stupid and when we were dancing at the spring dance, he kept putting his hands on my butt. ewwwww. He kissed me and I remember telling my friend Leslie that I needed a sponge around my neck because it was so slobbery. Gross. So, I ultimiately broke up with him by throwing the ugly necklace he got me across the room in Science class and saying, "Jason, you irk me."

the good one- Mike Roa, who was 15 and walked me home from the swimming pool that summer. and grabbed me and planted one hell of a kiss- I swooned. (and he had an erection, which made for ALL SORTS of conversation with the girls at the pool the next day) However, he soon realized that I wasn't gonna give it up and he moved on to a girl that did. and I soon realized that the cute but dumb ones were more painful than I had anticipated. (not that it stopped me from having any more relationships with the cute but dumb ones, but I accepted that they were ultimately destined to be short-lived.
