Is this a commentary on my cooking?

Quinn (3) said he wanted to help cook tonight. He was standing on the step stool to the left of the stove top, and as I put the defrosted ground beef in the pan Quinn said "When does the smoke come?" :cook:

I know he meant the "steam" but I thought it was hillarious.

At the time it was only ground beef, which eventually turned into spaghetti sauce.

We actually told the boys that steam was smoke so they would stay away.

Too funny! Did I ever tell you about the time my mom burned the same rolls twice??? The smoke detector going off during meal prep was a regular occurence at my house.
