  • Music for infants/toddlers

My daughter is approaching her first birthday (no, I can't believe it) and I would like to introduce more music to her. Can you guys give me suggestions? What did your kids listen to at that age? I know there are some music people out there. Can you help?

Right now I have her listening to "Free to Be You and Me" because she got that as a gift. We sing a lot and she already dancing to any kind of sound.

I would appreciate help from you vetran moms.

My girls liked the following CDs:

    - Kenny Loggins "House at Pooh Corner"
    - Bach Cello Concertos
    - Raffi "Songs for the Very Young"
    - "Mommy and Me"

What do our little kids listen to?

      - anything "Pooh"
      - Raffi (although some of his stuff will put YOU to sleep, your kid will love it)
      - They Might Be Giants
      - Whatever classical music happens to be on the classical music radio channel
      - U2 (because that is my favorite group and my kids have to listen to Mommy's music a lot)
      - LDS Primary songs (there are several hundred on ten cassettes and six cd's)
      - music tracks to their favorite movies are always a hit (like my daughters are totally in love with the songs in "The Prince of Egypt")
