11 day Virus

My 4.5 year old has been running a fever (100-102.5) and nasty cough for 11 days now. I finally called the dr and they want a "peek at her". Too bad, I ran away from my life and went to my mom's. She really is fine and DH isn't too concerned, but I have never experienced a kid's illness for this long. I still always worry. Have your kids had this nasty virus going around?

We had a fever and nasty cough virus a few weeks ago. The fever lasted around 3 days but we felt crummy for a week and a half.

Sorry you have to deal with such a lingering illness. My boys have been sick so much this season that it has seemed at times that an illness went on forever when it was really just overlapping bugs. When we visited MIL one time one of the boys got sick. A local doc basically comped a 'quick peek' as a courtesy to dh. Maybe there's someone you could find locally to do that? Hope it improves soon!

Yuck, I hope she starts to feel better soon. The flu finally hit our area a few weeks ago and I have my fingers crossed that none of us catches it. Bleh!

We finally went to the dr and Avery has an ear infection! I should have known because she gets one every time she has congestion. I checked her ears right before we left and they were clear. At least we can treat it and get over this illness!
