So DH is at the VA and has been since early April. Our lives have improved times ten due to "reasonable" hours. Woo hoo!

Today DH was able to "get away" after conference and actually meet us for a family picture. This is the same picture we have formally tried to have taken 4 times before and the medical gods spit in our faces. Even when DH had a "weekend off" when he was at the U an emergent double transplant needed to take place -- all hands on deck. That one really hurt because it was before Christmas and I was so excited to get a family photo done.

So today we pulled it off and had a decent time in the process.
You can't put a pricetag on being able to spend time together.

    Amazing.

fantastic! Honestly I'm surprised that the "gods of raising children" didn't spit in your face and give one of the kids chicken pox or a huge bump on the head ... but I'm glad for you.
