  • I guess I've been knocking myself out for nothing!

Tonight my dh and I decided we weren't hungry for dinner (could be related to the fact that I had 2 egg salad sandwiches for lunch today!), so I made the kids homemade lunchables for dinner. Not only did everybody clean their plates, but my 4 year old cannot stop talking about what I wonderful dinner I fixed for her tonight. I usually don't make anything that complicated anyway, but I'm starting to think all those "kid friendly" meals I've been fixing for them that are met with a lukewarm reception are not worth my time!

I do that at least once a week- without the lunch meat. We have cut up apples or bananas, some cubed cheese, some crackers, a few raisins, and whatever else I might find and invariably, that's the meal he'll eat.

I do the same thing for lunch. I put the "nacks" in a tupperwear and off they go. They love it and think it is the coolest "treat".

That sounds soooo good! Homemade lunchables are my all time favorite snack.
            Crackers - good!
            Cheese - good!
            Meat - good!

I serve them to DD and she pulls them apart and eats all of the pieces seperately!

This is pretty regular for us, but usually whole-wheat crackers (hey, I have to try somewhere!) and no turkey.
