  • Lovies part II: Finger Sucking

OK, similar to lovies but deserving of its own thread: How do we get my daughters to stop sucking their thumbs? It's already caused severe palate problems (they'll need major orthodontic work) and they're thumbs are kind of gross (I actually knew one little boy who sucked his thumb so much he got a fungus on it!! yuck.). Anyway, I don't care about any social issues involved in thumb sucking - I'm concerned about the physical problems associated with it. Jon and I have been racking out brains trying to figure out the best solution for this. ANY suggestions would be very much appreciated!

Well, Finny went through a horrible nail-biting tear, and the only advice that my mom would give me was to ignore it....which, of course I couldn't. I tried the yucky tasting stuff, persistent nagging ...nothing worked...

So.....I finally ignored it.....and she has beautiful, long nails...

I stand by my moms advice now..just don't tell her
