  • Sally,

How did back-to-school go for you guys?

We don't start until tomorrow -- meet the teacher night tonight. I am SO ready for him to go back! Joel (my 4 year old) started back to pre-school yesterday -- it went fine. He will go again tomorrow. Nathan also has a little class that he will go to on Friday -- I am pretty excited about having a day to myself this year. I will let you know how things go tomorrow.

I am glad that things are going smoothly at your house. Hopefully this will be a much better year for all of our kids.

How did it go for you? I hope that they had a good start too. It is really such a relief to get started on the right foot. I must admit that the enthusiasm in our house has dropped off a bit now that they realize that they have to get up at 6.20am every day But things are still going well. I talked to Andrew's teacher and he said that Andrew was socializing well...and that was really important to me.

So...I can't wait to hear how it was for your little guy. You only have one child in school, right?

So far, so good. He was feeling pretty positive when he got home yesterday. At meet the teacher night, he was dismayed that his teacher had gray hair -- he said it would remind him too much of his teacher last year. But yesterday, he said his new teacher is much nicer. There are only 14 kids in his class, so there are less names for him to learn, etc. There is also a little boy from our church in his class, and he was just as excited to see Luke as Luke was to see him, so that was good.

My four year old is in pre-school three days a week, which feels like a lot, so yes, I only have one in school full-time.

That getting up in the morning is a bummer, I agree. Fortunately, Luke doesn't need to get up until 7, but *I* need to get up earlier than I had been.

Time to take him to school! I got so much done yesterday!
