  • More kid music...

I recently came across another great children's singer...Justin Roberts. http://www.justinroberts.org. His music is sort of indie-folksy-rock. Kind of reminds me of They Might Be Giants with a voice like Zach Braff of Scrubs . And one of the songs on his newest album is reminiscent of Death Cab for Cutie. So, yeah, my son loves his music and I can dig it, too.

The "Doctor, Doctor" song on his Way Out album is too funny. I played it for DH last night after a 4 year old patient earlier in the day had accused him of trying to kill her when he gave her a shot.

Erm, you mean they shouldn't be listening to Tori Amos and NIN?

      *dies laughing*

If we had children they'd grow up listening to Dave Matthews, crazy electronica (husband's tastes), Ani DiFranco and Broadway soundtracks (my tastes). That'd be funny for a 4-year-old to be singing in the grocery stores. haha

I'm guilty of not plalying kid music for my kids as well. DH will put on XM Kids if they are in his car, but when they are with me they are subjected to my folksy/alternative music or NPR.
I'm am intrigued by that artist you suggested, though--I might have to download him off of iTunes. The kids have been pestering me about my music choices lately.
