    The level of protest regarding taking a nap is directly correlated to how badly said nap is needed.

    You would have thought I'd suggested pulling his toenails out with needle-nosed pliers today. I'm sure the neighbors were ready to call Child Protective Services. Seriously, I've never heard him utter such an eardrum piercing set of screams.

    and now? out like a light.

      Oh my! You are so right. For me, napping meant an interruption of my play time. I would often just start counting the minutes till I was allowed to get out of bed and I always ended up falling asleep. :>

        Oh, yes. We actually make sure that our windows are shut when Jack has one of these episodes, because we really are nervous that our neighbors will call the authorities!

        I'm glad Nikolai got some good sleep, though!

          The "doth protest too much" really is true. I will tell them it's time to rest and they'll fall asleep in the middle of screaming "I'm NOT tired!".
