    :ra: Congratulations! :ra:

So, it's to be a house filled with estrogen, huh? Your poor husband might never get time in the bathroom when they all hit the teen years!

congratulations! and one day missy, you'll be praying that she's a prude little stinker!

was it fun to find out this time? do you think it will make the birth less exciting (even as I type that it seems stupid, but it's a concern I have)? I'm so torn about finding out if I get pregnant again. It sure would make things more convenient ... but ....

enough about me! CONGRATULATIONS! (Especially to Bryn & Anna who I'm assuming were hoping for a baby sister).

                  Thanks!

I would have been happy either way. I love little boys and in some ways will miss having one but we also feel like we've got the girl thing figured out a little (all bets are off for teen years).

We found out because Bryn has had such a strong opinion about this child. When we told her I was pregnant, she was upset that we weren't adopting a brother for her. For the last few weeks, she has been adamant that it is a girl and that "her wishes come true" as evidenced by getting the first grade teacher of her choice. I thought it best to find out and let things sink in, as needed.

To be perfectly honest, I am going to miss that sweet surprise after labor. But ask me again after she is born and maybe I will feel differently.

Congrats, Nellie and family! Your family spacing is going to look very much like mine.....will your girls be 6 and 3 by the time this new one joins the family?

I found out the sex after DS #1 because I very much wanted a little girl, and didn't want to have any disappointment on the actual birthday......I ddin't think that was fair to our new little one. So we found out with #2 and #3, and I got any negative feelings out of the way, and was able to get very excited about meeting my next little guy each time.

Congratulations - I was one of three girls and my dad would tell you while he always wished for a boy he wouldn't have traded his three girls for anything and he now loves having three wonderful son-in-laws.

Congrats, Nellie!! I dont think knowing (we knew with the first two, third was shy) before hand makes it any less suprising. We still marveled at what they looked like and their personality (screaming monster or sweet quiet baby ).

Congrats on your little girl, Nellie! I am excited for you. It must feel strange to know the sex of your baby this time. We had similar issues with Avery being adamant of the gender and that is a major reason we found out this time, too. Luckily, she got her wish! I am glad "dreams come true" for Bryn.

Nellie, congratulations! You'll still have the surprise at the birth when you meet your little girl for the first time. At least you will have had plenty of practice with girls!

Sally, I love your new avatar.
