  • Potty Training Woes

My dd is not taking to potty training very well. She's very strong willed, which isn't helping the situation. Right now, she is up in the bathroom by herself with the door shut (not locked) crying. I told her that she is to stay there until she sits on her potty. She's refusing to do so. I'm sure this goes against every experts recommendation on potty training. We want to use a positive reward system, but she hasn't done anything to deserve a reward. I'd be happy if she just sat on the potty, let alone use it.

We can't get her to sit on the potty willingly. Please help. I'm sure I'm doing this all wrong. She's 2 1/2 and definitely physically ready for it.

Oops . . . . sorry. I just noticed Ladybug's Potty Training thread. I'll go read that. Sorry for the duplication.
