  • Won't Leave It Alone!?

Okay, My cute little boy won't stop picking at a sore on his nose. I know he is doing it withouth thinking, but it is not healing at all. Often it will start bleeding again. No idea what to do. Have tried calmly reminding him, ignoring it, etc.....

    Ideas?

Try putting a cool bandaid on it. Something that he likes and show him in the mirror. Thomas or Elmo or whatever. I don't know what's available in bandaids these days, but it's an idea.

I agree with Heidi. But I think you could put one on your nose too so that he doesn't realize at all that it's for the wound and at least won't start picking it off to have a look at the bandaid.

None, sorry. My SO still does this. He's 24 for goodness sake, but no. he picks at sores and scabs (usally from bugbites) on his feet and ankles. It's a wonder I even touch him when he does it, it's so gross.

Good luck with yours. When you find something that works, let me know and I'll try and apply it to adults too!
